Harvesting Operations

To compliment our land clearing and residue solutions (link to below), JRM recently acquired a FPC harvesting contract to further facilitate a more sustainable mine site clearing solution, which enables full tree utilisation. Full tree utilisation is the primary objective for both FPC and specifically Alcoa to provide a more environmentally friendly and sustainable solution for bauxite mining than historically achieved.

JRM harvesting operations differ from traditional operations as JRM facilitates secondary salvage operations onsite for remaining timber residue.

As JRM carries out the various stages of Harvesting and Clearing, we are therefore able to recover higher value products overall, which can then be fed back into commercial markets such firewood, mulch and chip products.
